As a small not for profit organisation with very little experience of IT networks and a heavy reliance on data to deliver our services, we needed an IT provider who would be accessible and understandable.

On the recommendation of another local company we contacted Zybert Computing who provided us with Z1 server just over three years ago. In that time we have had no problems whatsoever with the running of the server and when we expanded to home working we were taken through the process step by step.

If ever we have a question someone is always available at the end of a telephone or e-mail and that someone speaks English not IT speak.

We are very impressed with the quality and level of service we have received and would not hesitate to recommend the product and the company to others.

As you know, we've been using your Z1 for over 3 years and I think now is the appropriate time to thank you for looking after us so well.

Before the Z1 came in, we spent a small fortune on consultants who were forever fixing the network only to have it fall over again a week or so later. This seemed to be the normal course of events. The Z1 put a stop to all of this and has worked without so much as a hiccup for all this time.

We frequently come across clients who seem to think that it is still necessary to spend good money to have those very same consultants keep their systems running.

I think one of the strongest features of the Z1 system is the backup routine. We run a system with 10 users and inevitably somebody deletes or corrupts a file on a regular basis.

It is very simple matter to retrieve the previous days's version of the file and carry on as normal, without all the fuss involved in recreating the data. This sounds fairly simple, but it can be a huge help in operational terms.

The beauty of the Z1 is that it does what it says and it does it well and consistently. In my experience, this is actually very unusual in IT and I am very pleased that we have such a system.

I thought that it was high time that I provided you with some feedback on our experience with the Z1 Server. As you are aware, we approached you in some desperation due to persistent server problems that were causing excessive downtime, unreliable operation and poor data backup.

Once we had agreed to purchase your Z1, the whole setup took rather less than a day and involved only an hour or two of downtime. We then had a settling-in period of about a week, during which some time was needed to get everyone used to accessing the Z1 when they needed to. Then everything went quiet.

Which brings me to my main point. The Z1 just works, without any fuss or bother or downtime. It just sits there and quietly does its job, to the extent that we forget it is there and enjoy total peace of mind. The Z1 has been switched on and reliable since the day you installed it.

Because of its practical and thoughtful system of 'Hot Swapping' mirror disks, a total backup of every system or piece of information we have is instantly available while also safely stored off site.

Administration is zero - we do need a computer guy for out terminals - never for the Z1. The support, if ever needed, is provided remotely - your staff can talk to the machine from Birmingham and provide upgrades from there also. If one uses the help section, the advice is clear and understandable, although I have only used it to add or remove users.

Security is very high; because the Z1 will not talk to any computer it does not know about. Together with its comprehensive firewall, this makes Z1 a very secure machine.

Cost-effectiveness. I thought that the Z1 was priced about right - before we had used it. Now it has been in place for nearly two years, I consider it to have been an exceptionally astute purchase.

I would therefore like to thank you for this excellent machine, which has quietly revolutionised our daily working environment and has done much to reduce my own stress levels.

We count ourselves very fortunate that our ISP recommended that we buy a Z1 from Zybert. It has done exactly what they said - plugged in and worked straight out of the box. In three years the hardware has never failed.

The mirror backup system means that we have not lost any data in that time. The firewall has protected our network effectively. The only upgrade was to install larger HDD's.

The Z1 provides relevant reports in plain English each day. And it keeps detailed logs of everything you could ever wish to look at. Particularly useful if unexpected behaviour needs to be investigated.

The technical support has been outstanding. Not only do Zybert talk you through to a solution but also explain why. The same is true of e-mail support. When the problem is at a system level Zybert dial in to the Z1 to fix it. Software upgrades are also installed on line.

For me as a novice system administrator the Z1 has been a blessing - efficient, reliable, simple to control and best of all one practically forgets it is there.

After such reliable service from our Z1 we have upgraded to the Gem to get more hard disc space and the benefit of excellent spam filtering. It's like the Z1 but better. Much faster to shut down and restart for Mirror disc changes. (I know they are hot swappable, but when it's this quick why take the risk.) Like the Z1 fit it and forget it. It does what it says it will.

We have used a Z1 since 2001 mainly as a mailserver for 30+ users. It has been easy to use and reliable throughout. Where we have needed support, it has been knowledgeable and prompt.

We would happily recommend the system to other users and are considering buying a Zybert replacement just to get more disk space.

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how pleased we all are with our new Z1 server. We were amazed that you were able to manage the change-over in such an efficient manner. We were expecting some problems and teething troubles, however, no disruption was caused to our business at all.

I also wanted to thank you for the excellent support that you have provided to our Operation Director. He really appreciates the fact that you have gone the extra mile for him and consequently we will have no hesitation in renewing our service contract, next year.
